Sonali Hanson
Sonali leads Founders Law's artificial intelligence practice. She spent over a decade at a legal technology company as General Counsel and Managing Partner of its law group, deploying machine learning and creative technology-based solutions against evidentiary problems at scale, defending those systems' output under the Federal Rules. That experience shapes how she counsels AI developers and deployers on governance, IP, privacy, and commercial risk, and how she leads the firm's own bespoke AI build, where every automated output carries the approved logic drawn from the firm's internal attorney-led expertise.
A published contributor to The Sedona Conference Working Group 1 and a national CLE presenter on all things discovery, data privacy, and AI, Sonali also serves as outside corporate counsel to founders across SaaS, AI, software, hardware, and professional services. She began her career as a mechanical engineer, and worked in patents and trademarks prior to her time in house.
